To Pigeon Forge covid-19: day 248 | US: GA | info | act

We stayed the night in Franklin, NC, so we didn’t have far to travel today. However, we received a call from the cabin owner early this morning's nd the cabin would be available a bit later than expected because of a cleaning delay. So, we had to find some things to do. That should not be an issue, but a bit more challenging during these times. I knew Clingmans Dome was on the way, so we decided that could be a fun activity.

Well, Clingmans Dome was in a cloud, so that was a bust. Still, we got one photo. After, we drove into Pigeon Forge and took a stroll along the river before stopping an REI in a new shopping center.

By that time, our cabin was almost ready, so we hit Publix for supplies and Calhoun’s for tomorrow’s meal, before making our way to Wears Valley.

We checked in to the cabin, and sat down for our late lunch, and immediately lost power. The higher winds had caused a power outage that we just had to deal with. Fortunately, the sunset was pretty stunning from our back deck.

We were without power for several hours. Henry fell asleep early.
