Turkey Day covid-19: day 249 | US: GA | info | act
Thanksgiving day was pretty mellow. The weather was unseasonably warm, and by that I mean beautiful: it stayed around 70° the whole day. We had a morning hike at Laurel Falls, then came back to the cabin to stay. We kicked off our celebration with beers on the deck, and we had our meal al fresco. It was pretty perfect.
I am thankful that we are privileged and lucky enough to be healthy and have the resources to take a trip like this. I hope this is the beginning of more peaceful times here in the US: that we can find ways to see others as different, maybe, but equal. I hope that we can all find the value for ourselves in life and realize we are all on similar paths. How much better would the world be if we helped each other achieve personal happiness?
