First Utron Image covid-19: day 283 | US: GA | info | act

This image of Henry is pretty much right out of the camera from the new Voigtländer Ultron 1.8/21 that FedEx dropped off just after my run. Coincidently, USPS delivered its UV filter and close-focus adapter minutes before.

I love it. It’s fast with a lovely IQ. It has pretty strong vignetting, but I like it in this photo. Henry was good enough come running in this underwear to pose for me. I’ll turn him into a model yet.

I also ordered a Helios 44m-4 2/58 and a Industar 61 2.8/55—two vintage Russian beauties. I received no shipment notifications, but it is the holidays. Hopefully, they won’t take too long. In the mean time, I have a new Ultron to get used to. I hope the crappy weather clears up. Wouldn’t it be great to put the new SL in the top case and take a motorcycle ride?

                    

I thought about doing a 2020 retrospective, but I think my journal speaks for itself. I managed to post something everyday, so I think a few themes can be gleaned by anyone interested. It’s generally been a trying year, but I am grateful for my family, our health, and privilege. We are much more fortunate than many, and I hope the new year will begin our national recovery toward reason, equality, and happiness.
