Clean-Up Day covid-19: day 64 | US: GA | info | act
After a forum recommendation, I bought some Bar Keepers Friend to try to get the oleaginous grime off of my wheels. That, with a bit of elbow grease, worked very well. My wheels now look almost like-new. I can see a couple of places that need a bit more work, but I’ll get those next time. After cleaning the wheels and busting up a couple of fingers, I just washed the whole bike. It’s now ready for tomorrow’s First Annual David Morse Memorial Ride.
(So I did not take any before-and-after photos, of course. However, you can see the dirty rims in some of these photos, especially this one. There really is a noticeable difference.)
