My thanks to OTF for the workout this morning. It really was great to get moving and see my coaches. While my performance wasn’t stellar (no splat points at all), I was able to move for 30 minutes and get some distance interaction with people.

Let’s Be Positive covid-19: day 11 | US: GA | info | act

OK, I had a rough night last night. I think this new reality was getting to me. Everything seems pretty grim, but then I see how some folks are trying to rise above it, like Patrick Stewart’s daily sonnet, Michael Chambon’s daily reading, Talking Dead doing a “home edition,” a hallway “Closer Look” from Seth Meyers, and this morning’s Orange Theory workout via Zoom. With these developments, I’m going to try to be more positive in how I approach this. Here’s a list of “mostly true” good news from Snopes.

My thanks to OTF for the workout this morning. It really was great to get moving and see my coaches. While my performance wasn’t stellar (no splat points at all), I was able to move for 30 minutes and get some distance interaction with people.

I’m very grateful for this. Thanks, coaches. I think we individuals on a micro level will help each other through this. What will you do today to help?

I always encourage him to fill up the whole canvas with color. He’s getting there.

And, finally, today’s sonnet, seems like a carpe diem poem, battling against Time who is raging war on life.

Sonnet 2
By: William Shakespeare • Read by: Patrick Stewart

When forty winters shall besiege thy brow,
And dig deep trenches in thy beauty’s field,
Thy youth’s proud livery so gazed on now,
Will be a totter’d weed of small worth held:
Then being asked, where all thy beauty lies, 5
Where all the treasure of thy lusty days;
To say, within thine own deep sunken eyes,
Were an all-eating shame, and thriftless praise.
How much more praise deserv’d thy beauty’s use, 10
If thou couldst answer ‘This fair child of mine
Shall sum my count, and make my old excuse,’
Proving his beauty by succession thine!
This were to be new made when thou art old,
And see thy blood warm when thou feel’st it cold.
