First Friday: Celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday
I’m not sure why it’s a big thing, but Macon celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday each year by dressing up as his characters and having various activities downtown for kids. It’s probably just an attempt to get more family participation in downtown Macon. So, Henry donned his Cat in the Hat hoodies, and off we went for some food, beer, and stories. While it was cold (I’m always cold), we had a fun time.
And here’s a cool shot of the moon over Poplar.
Today was also a beautiful, rain-free day. It was a bit cool and windy, but I decided I had to take a ride on the Scrambler. I rode out west a bit, a perfect amount of sunshine kept me comfortable. I took some back roads winding my way down to Thomaston/Mercer University to deposit a check. I stopped at Capitol Cycle to see if they had anything interesting (they didn’t), but there was a well-used BMW R 1200 GS parked in the lot.
While the Scrambler is fun, I really do think I want to get back to a bigger, sportier, tourier bike.
