From Gerald R. Lucas

. . .

So, I really don’t know what’s going to happen. That fact might be the worst part. I have met the publisher’s deadline for submitting Lipton’s, but there is no signed contract from the NM estate. Nor does it seem likely. I see a major crossroads up ahead for me. I’m not sleeping well, and my motivation is circling the drain. There’s been no more response about my teaching schedule for the spring, so I guess I should just plan to teach what I’ve been assigned. My freshmen all have different writing issues, and I don’t really think addressing them in class is sufficient; I’m pretty convinced that 1101 needs to be at least partially a tutorial course. This is something I need to come to terms with, since it seems that as long as I’m at MGA, I will have to teach 1101. And 1102.
