After-School Bike Ride covid-19: day 308 | US: GA | info | act

Henry wanted to go to Weselyan to ride his bike after school, so we quickly stopped at home and grabbed the camera and bike, but no helmet (!), and headed across the tracks. Now, it being a Monday, the campus was a bit busier than it usually is when we go. That said, Henry was able to ride a bit, and I snapped a couple of photos before heading home.

I know: based on these photos, it doesn’t look busy, but there were cars all over the place and more people walking around than I was comfortable with.

The SL was wearing the Zuiko 2.8/28 when I picked it up, so I just went with it. I do like the 28mm focal length, but I kind of wish the lens were a bit faster. Giles has the Ultron right now, or that might have been my choice for the outing. Still, even under overcast skies, the colors are nice. Here are a couple of more after we got back home.

And speaking of Zuikos, I won two more on eBay this evening: a late-model 50mm f/1.4 and a 50mm f/1.8. I know what you’re thinking: why both? Well, they were pretty inexpensive, so I figured I’d see which one I liked better. I used to own the f/1.8 and stupidly gave it away, so I’ve been determined to acquire it again. I sense, with the imminent arrival of the new Takumar, these two new lenses, and a freshly CLAed Hexanon, another photo stroll coming on.
