Ride to Campus covid-19: day 594 | US: GA | info | act

Even though it was a bit chilly this morning, I knew the temperature would be perfect after I taught, so I decided to ride the BMW R 1200 GS to campus. The ride in wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, making me think I could actually ride to Florida next month. (Kip invited me to hang out with him again the second week of December. I’m strongly considering it.) I’m sure it put me in a good mood for my last in-class day of the semester. What a way to celebrate.

As I predicted, the temperature after noon was perfect for riding, so I took the long way home. Despite the subtle aesthetic differences, this bike rides like GS. That is: excellently. It’s big at a stand-still, but once it’s moving, it’s as nimble as a fast cat. I would have spent longer riding, but I had to get Henry from school. Hopefully, I’ll have more of an opportunity to break in the new beast over the break. Maybe Florida...
