Elaina and Travis are getting married tomorrow in Ellijay, Georgia, and I volunteered to shoot some photos. They rented us a cabin for a couple of nights. The wedding takes place tomorrow, and I brought an assortment of lenses, but will likely use just a couple. We’ll see what happens. The drive up was a bit taxing, especially after all of our map apps were warning of possible delays because of the recent hate-crime shooting. This country. White people. It’s hard not to despair sometimes.
Of course, the weather was bad, too. We seem to always like to drive in the shittiest weather. The heaviest stuff is coming through tonight.
Despite the long day, we had a lovely evening drinking, catching up, listening to music, and anticipating the next day’s festivities. Adeline and Henry enjoyed playing all night, and both stayed up well past their bedtimes. Elaina and Travis, like me, have had their first COVID shots, but we’re all still being careful.
I was using the Zuiko 2/85 (the first two images) and the Canon 1.4/50 LTM today. Oh, and I brought along the Holga complete with film from years ago. We’ll see if it’s any good, especially after I removed the back of it. Film rookie.
