{{dc|I}}{{start|’m rereading the second half of [[w:Toni Morrison|Morrison]]’s ''[[w:The Bluest Eye|The Bluest Eye]]'' today}} to teach on Tuesday. Poor, Pecola: she cannot even see her true self. She’d rather be a freak than herself living in a society that beats her down. I wonder: how does she end up insane at the end of the novel, but Claudia, the narrator, becomes strong and insightful? It obviously has to do with each girl’s family life. A strong family seems to lead to resiliency. Pecola had a child for a father and a want-to-be Geraldine for a mother. Neither was able to arm her with what she needed, and her father’s “love” was deadly.
{{dc|E}}{{start|rnest and I met downtown this afternoon to snap some photos.}} There were many people enjoying the beautiful day in anticipation of the Cherry Blossom Festival that seems to be happening despite the pandemic. In fact, most people were maskless. Amazing.


I have read and taught this text before, and it remains brilliant.
We did our best to avoid them and made a circuit to snap a few images. We ended up at Fall Line Brewing to have a couple and chat. I kept the new {{Zuiko 2/85}} the whole time. Such a nice lens.

Photo Stroll with Ernest covid-19: day 356 | US: GA | info | act

Ernest and I met downtown this afternoon to snap some photos. There were many people enjoying the beautiful day in anticipation of the Cherry Blossom Festival that seems to be happening despite the pandemic. In fact, most people were maskless. Amazing.

We did our best to avoid them and made a circuit to snap a few images. We ended up at Fall Line Brewing to have a couple and chat. I kept the new Zuiko 2/85 the whole time. Such a nice lens.
