The vast majority of the US government has no desire to actually help the vast majority of the citizens of this country. I find this fact truly disheartening.

Minimum wage increase? Hell no.

Increased workers rights? Dream on.

Student loan forgiveness? No way, sport.

Monthly stimulus checks? Progressive pipe dream.

Vaccines for educators? Yeah, but not you, professor.

Feed the poor? No money for that.

Bomb brown people? Yeah, we got that.

What the hell is wrong with us?

Why did we fight so hard to elect democrats when they seem to be beholden to the wealthy, too. What will it take? Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
