The Sexiness covid-19: day 394 | US: GA | info | act
All of Apple’s new gear is sexy. If I had an extra $5K, I’d get one of each, including an 12" iPad Pro, a yellow iMac, a handful Air Tags, and, certainly not least, a new Apple TV. To support the capabilities of the new Apple TV, I’d have to get a new OLED 4K 65" TV, too. Of course.
Alas, I don’t need any of it. My iPad is very old, but it still works for browsing Reddit, reading Pocket, and shopping on eBay. The iPad Pro would be overkill for my uses. Most of my work happens on my MacBook Pro (2017 model), and I see no need to update that until it dies. I’m a bit of a power user, but this machine never misses a beat, and since the keyboard replacement, it is nearly perfect. It really is the best laptop I have ever owned. I still use my old-but-upgraded 2009 Power Mac for photo editing, and it’s chugging along. As long as our current TV works, we will likely keep using it, though it is pretty old—maybe from 2007. Yes, the Air Tags are cool, but . . . we’ll see. At least these are affordable.
Chugging away on Lipton’s Journal. I’m hoping to finish inputing the entries in a couple of weeks—maybe sooner. Then I can get started on my short story paper. If I could only be through with the teaching. The grading is endless. I’m more of a teacher this semester than I have ever been.
My foot still really hurts. I might need to get it x-rayed. Speaking of things I can’t afford. When I can’t run or even walk, I get even more wound up. Autumn has started to tell me to cool it when I get worked up. I have a brand new pair of running shoes that I can’t even use.
Maybe I’m languishing.
