From Gerald R. Lucas
Well Poop
Well, I've been intermittent fasting for a couple of weeks now, and I've gained a pound.
I think it's probably because I'm fasting too much, and my body's compensating. For instance, this week, I pretty much went everyday but Thursday just eating dinner: one meal a day. I'm probably not getting enough calories, so my metabolism is slowing down. I think I'll try a less-extreme schedule this week, like maybe 24 hours, three times a week. Or maybe go 16:8 all week. I think I’ll try the 36-hour protocol, one recommended by Fung and Moore.[1]
I don't know. I'm just disheartened. I'm like two pounds from weighing in the 160s. My clothes are just starting to fit, but still a little tight. Ugh. This has been going on too long now.
