From Gerald R. Lucas

The web site’s coming along. I managed to get the pop-ups working, so links are previewed on hovers. Even the images are starting to work, too. I assume there’s a delay while the software updates. I also began porting my World Lit writings.

I spent some time on campus today for advising, though I saw no one. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t seem to get work done in my office. My computer’s slow although it’s on the newish side. There’s something slightly oppressive about it, like being in a cell or a dungeon. I know, weird.

Giles treated me to a great dinner tonight at Natalia’s. I had an amazing Greek salad and a Filetto di Marsala Funghi. Both were delicious, and the filet was probably the best I’ve had in years. Also, the manager was a former student and brought us a complimentary cheese tray that was also quite good. He called me “Professor Lucas” and told me how great my class was. I only wish I remembered which class I had him for. Getting old.
