Here we are: the European Council’s London Program class of 2009. Photo is by me, so I’m not in it.
We had some excellent students—some I’m happy to call new friends. These are exactly the kinds of students who graduate and become engaged citizens. If nothing else, they spent five weeks in another country which has to have positive effects on their perspectives. Anything we can do to widen our eyes must be a good thing; that’s why I’m such a proponents of programs like this.
It’s been a real honor to have participated. Thanks to Dan for giving me the opportunity.
