The first time we tried the Westminster Walk, the weather did not cooperate. We had barely arrived in St. James Park when the deluge forced an end to our photographic endeavors that day.
However, since my students needed the walk in order to complete their assignments, we rescheduled – and I’m glad we did. The weather was gorgeous for capturing the iconic neighborhood of Westminster, London. Since I had been here many times before, but only once with my good equipment, I wanted to take the touristy photos and also experiment a bit. I was wearing the 70-200mm the first time, and several days later on a similar walk with Giles (earlier today), I had the 16-35mm. I have also been trying to vary my aperture, stopping it down for more city and cloud details. Here’s a sample.
I plan to also return at night with the camera before I leave, so stay tuned for those images.
