Jupiter at the Cemetery
Images taken today at Riverside Cemetery, Macon, GA, with the Jupiter-3 1.5/50.
At close-focus distances, the bokeh this lens renders is creamy and smooth. The top images are lovely, while stepping back a few steps for the lower ones makes the background blur start to get unruly. Even further, at medium focal lengths, it’s just awful. For example:
That really has to be the worst bokeh I have ever seen. What gives? It’s bad enough this lens is so hard to focus wide-open, now I need to deal with this? Could I have gotten weird copy? It would figure. Well, maybe not.
