At close-focus distances, the bokeh this lens renders is creamy and smooth. The top images are lovely, while stepping back a few steps for the lower ones makes the background blur start to get unruly. Even further, at medium focal lengths, it’s just awful. For example: | |||

Jupiter at the Cemetery
Images taken today at Riverside Cemetery, Macon, GA, with the Jupiter-3 1.5/50.
At close-focus distances, the bokeh this lens renders is creamy and smooth. The top images are lovely, while stepping back a few steps for the lower ones makes the background blur start to get unruly. Even further, at medium focal lengths, it’s just awful. For example:
