As of this morning, I’m driving to New Orleans to pick them up in a couple of weeks. I have a reservation for a night in the French Quarter, and Saturday morning, I’ll be loading the speakers in the MY for the trip back. I just couldn’t pass up this deal. As of yesterday afternoon, I’m the new owner of some DeVore O/96 speakers! W00t! As of this morning, I’m driving to New Orleans to pick them up in a couple of weeks. I have a reservation for a night in the French Quarter, and Saturday morning, I’ll be loading the speakers in the MY for the trip back. It’ll be a fast trip, but at least I’ll be able to have a good meal in NOLA and maybe pick up a po’boy on my way out of town.
Man, am I psyched. As I implied before, these are possibly end-game speakers for me. They’ll go great with my Rogue Cronus Magnum III, especially when I get it upgraded to the “Dark” version which could be as soon as I sell the Sonus Faber Sonetto IIs. I still have to get speaker cables, and my Gold Note PSU is in the shop, but these are the last parts I need to have a complete “starter” system.
Now, all I have to do is get my sound shed built.
