Building Materials and Some Updates

We now have a new hole in our yard. It rained yesterday, so the ground was pretty wet this morning. This fact did not bode well for the forklift delivering building materials. He got himself stuck tight, evidenced by the first photo below. After phoning in some help—something he did not want to do—some of his buddies managed to get the forklift out and finish the delivery. The forklift driver felt bad, but I just laughed and told him not to worry about it. Des merdes arrivent!

Still, it’s nice to see some progress. I figure the whole backyard is going to be a mess during this process, so I’m not going to sweat a little misstep.

In other news: the Sonettos have been sold to a guy in LA. The final sale price was $1525. I only charged $100 for shipping, but the actual shipping cost closer to $200. And when eBay takes that pound of flesh, I'll likely make about $1150.[1] I guess $350 is a fair price to pay to have experienced these sweet little speakers. I hope they’re going to a good home.

I also checked on my ailing PSU. I sent it back to The Music Room in late-January because it just stopped working. They confirmed it needed repair, as they didn’t have another to send me. I agreed to the repair, but it’s been taking a while. Today, I got word that they are awaiting some parts. Hopefully, it’ll be back before the sound shed is finished.

note

  1. Oh, and I’ll have to wait a month to get my money from eBay for some reason. It’s been that way for a while now. I know: I only have 100% positive feedback and have only been an eBay member for over 20 years, so, sure, I can’t be trusted. You better hold my money for an extra month to be sure. Thanks, eBay.
