This schedule represents the ideal outline for our study this semester. Yet, like all best-laid plans, we may not be able to keep up with our agenda. Please be flexible and try to look and read ahead whenever possible.

We will do our best to stick by this schedule, but I will inform you verbally, via an email, and/or a literal change to the schedule below whenever there is a deviation. Getting these updates is solely your responsibility. Therefore, this schedule is tentative and subject to change contingent upon the needs of the students and the professor, and dictated by time and other constraints which may affect the course. For face-to-face classes, this schedule reflects only an overview of the assigned reading and other major course assignments. It may not indicate specific class session assignments or activities. Specific in-class assignments may not be reflected on the schedule.

All dates with a purple background are in-class Zoom meetings (as of 3/31) while those with a green background are online days with no face-to-face meeting. All online assignments are due Sundays at 5pm, unless otherwise noted. In-class days with a blue background are those taught by students. In addition, assigned texts below—most unlinked and marked as (PDF15x18-fileicon-pdf.png)—are available on a Google Drive. Be sure to request access early in the semester.

Notes

  1. Be sure to order your books today (see Required Texts)
  2. You must use this link as it contains an enrollment key.
  3. I was late granting access to the drive (sorry about), but I’m sure you could find the readings on Google. There are some excellent explanatory video, too, on YouTube: 1, 2.
  4. For the “Choose your article” exercise, you should use the one you have been assigned for P1 and P2. If your article does not yet exist, use this exercise to begin planning.
  5. Midterm grades due.
  6. Drop date: last day to withdraw with a “W.”
  7. From MGA President Christopher Blake: “Based on the latest information, system leaders have made the decision that effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all University System of Georgia institutions will temporarily suspend instruction for two weeks to allow time for USG institutions to test their business continuity plans and online instruction modules and for state officials to continue to assess the current situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) in Georgia.”
  8. This is a .ics that you can import to your calendar program. It contains the meeting dates, times, link, and password.
  9. Don’t forget the meeting password: 046337.
  10. See Potential Exam Questions.
