Revision as of 07:00, 24 March 2020

CRN 25677 ENGL 2111.11 MW 11–12:15 COAS-210 Spring 2020

This schedule represents the ideal outline for our study this semester. Yet, like all best-laid plans, we may not be able to keep up with our agenda. Please be flexible and try to look and read ahead whenever possible.

We will do our best to stick by this schedule, but I will inform you verbally, via an email, and/or a literal change to the schedule below whenever there is a deviation. Getting these updates is solely your responsibility. Therefore, this schedule is tentative and subject to change contingent upon the needs of the students and the professor, and dictated by time and other constraints which may affect the course. For face-to-face classes, this schedule reflects only an overview of the assigned reading and other major course assignments. It may not indicate specific class session assignments or activities. Specific in-class assignments may not be reflected on the schedule.

Notes

  1. Be sure to order your book today (See Required Materials).
  2. A group of faculty at USG are collaborating on a research project to improve the learning experience for you and other students. One way that we are doing this is by having students answer questions about their attitudes about learning. Your individual responses will not be shared with anyone at Middle Georgia State University. You must complete the activity for class; however, you may elect to withhold your information from the researchers without penalty. The first page of the activity will explain that in greater detail. You will need to provide three important pieces of information. You will need to:
    • Select your institution from a list
    • Enter your school-issued email address
    • Select your instructor's name from a list
    • Enter the name and number of this course
A record of your participation for this activity will be forwarded to your instructor; however, please save a copy of the confirmation page at the end of the activity as proof for your records in the event of a discrepancy. You can do this by taking a screenshot and saving it or emailing it to yourself.
  3. Some of these study guides and writings could help in your preparation.
  4. Midterm grades due.
  5. Drop date: last day to withdraw with a “W.”
  6. From MGA President Christopher Blake: “Based on the latest information, system leaders have made the decision that effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all University System of Georgia institutions will temporarily suspend instruction for two weeks to allow time for USG institutions to test their business continuity plans and online instruction modules and for state officials to continue to assess the current situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) in Georgia.”
  7. This is a .ics that you can import to your calendar program. It contains the meeting dates, times, and link.
