Before beginning your work each week, read through the whole lesson so you know what to expect and understand what’s expected. Each tab corresponds to a week of study. All assignments are contained therein. Any questions should be posted to the class help page.

02/06–02/12: Evaluate, Research, Cite

Consider your colleagues’ edits so far and write peer reviews. Respond to your own reviews and revise. The idea is two-fold: to take a step back from your own work and see what others are doing on Wikipedia. Evaluate it objectively. Then consider others evaluations of your work and respond on the appropriate talk page—either the user’s or the article’s. These critiques should be informal, talk page discussions. What are your colleagues doing well? What do they need to work on? You can be nice, but be critical. Our goal here is to get better. Be sure you look look at all their edits under the “history” tab. Did they improve the entry, or did someone else? Point out errors in writing and code, etc. Try to be as thorough as possible in your critiques.

Respond to your peer review. You probably have some feedback from other students and possibly other Wikipedians. Consider their suggestions, decide whether it makes your work more accurate and complete, and edit your draft to make those changes.
