This Blog got a little scary towards the end. However, I know now that you are expressing your true feelings in these Blogs and not just filler. I am looking forward to more.

You are not making too much of this, Dr. Lucas. And Ashley, you're right -- it *is* scary that MSC would abandon educational principles so eagerly.

Macon State cannot claim the title of "institution of higher learning" by being exclusionary in any form. By providing a program such as this excellent idea to most but not all, MSC's IT team, however excellent, is missing the point. (The Christianity analogy is especially apt -- maybe you should pass that on to them...?)

Does MSC currently have computer requirements for incoming freshmen students? If so, does it include Microsoft? Perhaps that should be the battle line: changing those requirements to ones accessible by all, not just most.
