Announcements

  • 2020-06-01: All announcements will now happen on the student forum. If you are a student, be sure you are a member.
  • 2020-04-01: Reading quiz for Oedipus Rex has been posted for ENGL 2111.
  • 2020-03-24: COVID-19 update for ENGL 2111 has been posted.
  • 2020-03-23: COVID-19 updates for ENGL 3900 and NMAC 4406 have been posted.
  • 2020-03-20: All classes will now be using the new forum software and Zoom. More details coming under your class updates in the next week.
  • 2020-03-12: According to a recent email by President Blake, MGA will “temporarily suspend instruction for two weeks.” According to my calendar, that means no class until March 30. Please check back here for further developments for my classes. Otherwise, stay safe an follow the CDC precautions. I hope to see everyone soon.
  • 2020-02-05: Submitted the now mandatory “Student Alert, Early Reporting” for ENGL 2111. If you received a notification, there is still time to bring up your grade. Please see me for any clarification.
  • 2020-01-21: Added groups for NMAC 4460 assignment, 1/28. Those who were absent have been assigned to a text.
  • 2020-01-14: I have updated the ENGL 3900 syllabus to reflect the online components we discussed in class.
  • 2019-12-22: All course syllabi are ready for the spring 2020 semester.
  • 2019-12-14: Major work has been done on the NMAC 5108 syllabus. Just a bit of the schedule left to finish.
  • 2019-12-10: Syllabus for ENGL 2111, spring 2020, has been posted.
  • 2019-12-09: Grades have been posted in Banner for HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460. Enjoy your holiday. I’ll see you in 2020.
  • 2019-12-07: Grades have been posted in Banner for ENGL 2111 and HUMN 1011. Enjoy your holiday.
  • 2019-12-02: ENGL 2111 schedule has been updated with extra credit due date and exam date and time. NMAC 4460 and HUMN 4472 due dates are this Sunday, 12/8. The last item you should do is your final journal post: your reflective essay. HUMN 1011 should have your final essay submitted no later than Friday, 12/6.
  • 2019-10-23: NMAC 4460 and HUMN 4472: If you’re confused about a 0 on your “article evaluation” in your latest progress report, please see the assignment again on WikiEdu. Be sure you’re doing everything the assignment asks of you. If you did it, and I marked you incorrectly, send me a URL for the completed evaluation on Wikipedia.
  • 2019-10-23: Dr. Lucas is sick today, so classes are cancelled. HUMN 1011, please watch the scheduled video on your own; we will discuss it on Monday. ENGL 2111, we will pick up with OR on Monday.
  • 2019-10-21: L9 and L10 for HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460 now have optional and extra-credit journal posts. Please see your syllabi for more details.
  • 2019-10-16: The schedule for HUMN 1011 has been updated to reflect the changes we made this week.
  • 2019-10-07: Due to renovations of the MGA suite, my office is now CoAS-214 through the end of the semester.
  • 2019-10-03: HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460 students, did you sign up for a Wikipedia help session?
  • 2019-09-26: Should we have a face-to-face session for HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460? Take the poll.
  • 2019-09-17: Added audio feedback for L3 for HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460. See below images on the right.
  • 2019-09-12: Students in NMAC 4460 received the incorrect progress reports on Tuesday. I have sent new ones out today, so hopefully the problem is remedied. Sorry for the glitch.
  • 2019-09-10: Added audio feedback for L1 and L2 for HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460. See below images on the right.
  • 2019-09-03: HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460 students should have moved their journals to the student server by this point. You have had over a week to do so. You should be writing and practicing on the wiki regularly.
  • 2019-08-26: HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460 students must move their journals from Wikipedia to the new Students server as soon as possible.
  • 2019-08-25: For NMAC 4460 and HUMN 4472: some of your journals have been deleted on Wikipedia. I am trying to work this out, but be sure you have backups. I'll let you know what we need to do soon. Thanks for your patience and continue to complete your work.
  • 2019-08-14: Correct WikiEdu passwords have been added to Lesson 1 for HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460. If you had difficulty with these, please try again and accept my apologies.
  • 2019-08-13: Audio introductions added to HUMN 4472 and NMAC 4460. Made some syllabi tweaks.
  • 2019-08-12: Fall semester syllabi are finished and ready to go.
  • 2019-07-25: Summer term grades have been submitted. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
