I have been a photography aficionado since high school, when I owned an Olympus SLR and a couple of lenses. Film was never my thing. When digital came along, I found a renewed passion for photography. My first DSLR was a Canon Rebel, followed by a Canon 30D, a Canon 5D, and a Canon 6D. I got tired of carrying the weight of a full-sized DSLR and lenses, so I switched to mirrorless, starting with a Sony A7R, then a Sony A6000 and a Sony A7S. I started messing around with manual focus and vintage lenses which led to my discovery of '''Leica'''. After selling all of my gear, I bought a Leica M Typ 262 and two Summicrons: a 50mm and a 35mm. I have not looked back. I even worked professionally as a side business for a decade as '''LucasPix'''.

Leica Portrait Photographer

Me with a Leica Q. Photo by Giles.

I started messing around with manual focus and vintage lenses which led to my discovery of Leica. After selling all of my gear, I bought a Leica M Typ 262 and two Summicrons: a 50mm and a 35mm. I have not looked back. I even worked professionally as a side business for a decade as LucasPix.

Most of my photography may be seen in my Journal entries. Currently I use a Leica SL and several contemporary and vintage lenses (Len Wish List). Here are the major categories:

For Hire

My original photography site, circa 2008.

Do you live in central Georgia? Do you need someone photographed? Let’s talk. I specialize in portraiture and am available for special events, including weddings, portrait sessions, and other occasions that need a special touch. Since everyone’s needs are different, you should contact me for specific ideas and pricing. Most needs fall under the standard portrait session.

The Standard Portrait Session

From your high school senior year portraits to your family reunion, from newborns to retirement celebrations, I shoot portraits on-location.

An up-to-two-hour portrait session is $150. This price does not include any prints, but it does come with downloadable images that can be printed or shared online. I take photos of the subject, perform any touch-ups that are needed on the original images, then upload the images to a private server for download. The portrait session covers just about everything, and it can be catered to suit your needs. Some additional fees might apply, including prints, digital images, travel, and booking.

Wedding Packages

Weddings are more than just a ceremony. I can play a part in any part of the planning, from engagement photos to a whole wedding package, including bridal preparation, rehearsal, ceremony, reception, and post-wedding fun, like a trash-the-dress session. Since every wedding is unique, I recommend that we sit down and discuss exactly what you need. After we talk, I can work up options specifically designed to fit your budget.
