Getting Nothing Done

I have so many projects, I can’t seem to get started. What is it about returning from a vacation—something that’s supposed to replenish and recharge—that makes me so unmotivated? For example, instead of working on my short story paper this morning, I’m creating a browser start page.

Maybe this gives some insight into my students: the more pressing the things to do, the more likely the procrastination. This was certainly true when I was writing my dissertation.
