Midterm Day

Henry during a power outage from February 6.

I gave a midterm exam to my World Lit class this morning, so that grading is now pressing. They have a paper due in a couple of days, too. I need to get busy. Also, midterm means that my grad students should be finishing up their Wikipedia projects. Have I mentioned how well I think they did on The Faith of Graffiti? It really looks good. In fact, some even got over-zealous and added a bit too much. I hope the rest of their projects are completed as well. I have seen a couple, and they also look great.

I ported a couple of essays on Mailer from Medium this morning: “The Minuet of Macho” and “Mailer’s Novel(ist).” I was working on another while my students took their midterm, but didn’t quite finish.

I bought and installed a dbrand cover for my MacBook Pro, and I received the Trakke Bannoch backpack I won off of eBay. Both are super cool. The MBP’s cover is a deep yellow, like my Kindle’s cover. I wanted the same color on the backpack (Trakke call it “cumin”), but I had to take what I could get. Still it’s a lovely olive—and the quality of the bag is excellent. I’m happy to have a bit more room to tote around a book or two. I’m going to order a couple of more goodies from Trakke, like a pencil case and a key fob.

Henry colored a tooth today. He said: “It’s got chocolate toothpaste. Get it?” Hm.
