Marginalized

Yesterday was a tough day. We had our school-wide faculty meeting, and I’m feeling marginalized. I think that might have been the intention. I wanted to ask about course enrollment caps, but decided it just doesn’t matter. I don’t want to be that guy, so there you go. I guess it’s my fault, anyway, so I’ll just have to make the best of it. At least I’m mostly doing what I want to do.

Speaking of which, LitWiki is back up and pretty much ready to go. That said, I’m not going to use it as extensively as I want this fall, but I will be using it in ENGL 1102. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m almost finished with my ENGL 2122 syllabus. Since it’s second-session, I have a bit of time, but I don’t nearly have as much information as I do for world literature, so I have some work to do.

Currently, I’m sitting in a face-to-face meeting of the English faculty. Wow. I don’t feel like I know anyone. I hope that will change. I need to find a place for myself in the department again.
