Writing Center covid-19: day 518 | US: GA | info | act

Today was the orientation for the Writing Center. This is significant because I’m volunteering a couple of hours a week this semester. I need to give back more to my community, and this is a good way to do so. Sharon Colley is the director, and she ran the orientation. I’m one of at least 10 volunteers, a couple of whom have been my students. The orientation as great, and I’m looking forward to doing some good here.

I worked a bit more on my ENGL 2122 class on D2L and wrote the dean a letter. I really want to change my direction now that I’m back in the English Department—where I belong, as the chair said. I want to approach my work with more humility, respect, and optimism.
