We’ve tried reopening. Cases came surging back. We should instead:
- Provide full jobless benefits and rent relief (stop bailing out investors).
- Send only essential workers to the job. Require everyone else to shelter in place.
- Enforce a mandatory mask policy when outside in public.
- Provide free testing, with next-day results.
- Fund universal contact tracing.
