Film Photography Day covid-19: day 385 | US: GA | info | act

Apparently, April 12 is Film Photography Day. Who knew? Well, since I’m just getting into film, I don’t really have any photos by for which to celebrate, but I do have a recent luscious shot of my new Pentax 67 taken with the Jupiter-8 2/50. Maybe that will do for now?

Sexy, no?

Henry and I took a few photos after school to try out my latest lens: the Olympus Zuiko 50mm f/1.8. As predicted: this is a beauty. Like my other Zuikos, it reproduces color beautifully—it’s sharp, fast, compact, and in great shape.

While this performs well on the SL, I really got it for the new Olympus OM-2N that I should get this week. I have everything I need now, including batteries and film (Lomo 400 to start with), so I’m just awaiting delivery from Tokyo. Maybe Wednesday.

Well, happy Film Photography Day.

UPDATE: OK, I do have something from today: Henry before school captured with the Holga on Ilford HP5 Plus 🎞.
