Experiments

The BMWOK, I started playing with two new things at once: Apple’s Aperture and RAW format. I gotta say that both are blowing me away. After some initial trepidation with both, I dove right in. I can see an immediate difference in my photos. Seriously. And now that I discovered the Flickr plugin for Aperture, there will be no going back.

Of course, some of my first images are of my BMW, like the one here. Also, my images of an afternoon ride to the Ocmulgee National Monument — literally about two miles from my houses — were all done in RAW format and post-processed with Aperture. I can’t wait to keep playing, and I can’t wait until there are more plug-ins developed for Aperture, since Adobe is taking their sweet time with the new version of Photoshop.

RAW processing is awesome. I’ve seen RAW processing on Aperture and that’s why I need a MAC & Aperture. And the Flickr plug-in.

    I’m so jealous :)

VERY nice pictures, and a very nice bike. You might want to see http://www.europrez.com, a site of an (email-based) BMW motorcycle club – you seem like someone who might fit in… ;-)
