OK, so I know I’m a dork. Is it obvious that I’m reading? However, I really think these mini videos will be very effective for my teaching, especially for students that might miss the first night, since we don’t have mandatory attendance for the first class at MSC. As the video suggests, I plan to make more of these, especially to augment lessons for online courses. This video is made for the course page of my Fall 2006 ENGL 1102 online.

For those who are interested, I used Snapz Pro X to capture the desktop actions in movie form. I could use this software quite a bit, but the $69 price is a bit much. I wonder if they have an education discount, since I’m a starving professor and all?

Hopefully, with some practice, I will eventually look less like a dork. I can hope. My students can hope.
